DID YOU KNOW?

Dav Pilkey, author of Dog Man and Captain Underpants, is launching a new series, Cat Kid Comic Club.  The first book, Cat Kid Comic Club Volume 1 will be out sometime in December 2020.  Li’l Petey, from Dog Man, will star in the series alongside Molly and friends who will embark on a journey to teach baby frogs how to make comics.  This series is sure to be hilarious!

NEWS FLASH 

  • Looks like Dirty Bertie is headed towards an animated TV series. While the series is in early development, with 33 titles to choose from, Bertie and his madcap adventures will surely provide a lot of entertainment.
  • Season 2 of Last Kids on Earth started April 17 on Netflix. Two brand new characters, Chef and Skaelka, were introduced.  Check out the zombie battle and the monster apocalypse!
  • R.L.Stine will be releasing a new series based on the Garbage Pail Kids. The first book in the series, Garbage Pail Kids #1: Welcome to Smellville, will be out this Fall introducing Junkfood John, Nervous Rex, and others taking on their archenemies, the Perfects.
  • Thomas & Friends, Season 23, is now on Netflix offering 22 episodes and three specials, Digs & Discoveries: All Tracks Lead to Rome, Digs & Discoveries: Mines of Mystery and Steam Team to the Rescue. Season 24 is scheduled for the Fall.
  • Big Nate is coming to Nickelodeon with 26 episodes. No date of when to expect this series has been announced yet.
  • SCOOB!, the movie about Scooby-Doo AND the biggest comedy adventure of the summer, is out May 15. It won’t be coming to the theaters but you can immediately rent or buy it!  Check out the book based on the movie, SCOOB! Junior Novelization.
  • Instead of heading to the theaters, the movie, Artemis Fowl, will premiere on Friday, June 12 on Disney+. See the Official Trailer here.

Just like you, I have been stuck in my dog house during this coronavirus.  I make sure to wash my paws a LOT!  Since you can’t go to the library and check out books, there are a lot of authors who have taken their time to show you how to draw or write.
