Hammond Public Library Chooses TLC
The Library Corporation is pleased to announce that Hammond Public Library in Indiana has chosen the Library•Solution® integrated library system to provide premier automation services for its staff and patrons.
Hammond Public Library will be going live on August 30, 2017 withLibrary•Solution’s integrated cataloging and database management software and services. The system will be hosted by TLC on a secured server that offers 24/7 access to library employees and customers. According to the Hammond Public Library’s Board of Trustees,Library•Solution was their choice because of its features, price and easy-to-use interfaces.
Hammond Public Library’s motto is “Connecting people, information and ideas” – promising that they “will encourage lifelong learning by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations in delivering service to the community.” The Hammond Public Library was founded in 1903 and is Lake County Indiana’s first and oldest public library. Throughout its existence, it has been a central part of everyday life in the city of Hammond and the neighboring communities. Hammond is the fifth largest city in the state of Indiana and is considered part of the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
Hammond Public Library is transitioning toLibrary•Solution from an Innovative Interfaces, Inc.® ILS that has been in use since 1999. TLC’s software will enable patrons to place holds, pay fines, download eBooks, and more from home or at the library’s location at 564 State Street in Hammond.
