TLC releases LS2 Cataloging for Library•Solution

The Library Corporation is excited to announce the summer release of LS2 Cataloging for the Library•Solution ILS platform.  TLC’s LS2 Cataloging for Library•Solution delivers robust yet intuitive web-based tools that simplify cataloging for everyone from seasoned collections technicians to first-year library assistants using a fully responsive design. “LS2 Cataloging is a positive step forward for everyone involved. With content provided by the Library of Congress as well as other authoritative sources, and curated by TLC, LS2 Cataloging provides full authority-controlled terms and other glossaries in real time so users see which authorities in a record are unmatched before editing even begins.  LS2 Cataloging also introduces the Purify Process, which makes structural corrections and enriches selected metadata in the bibliographic record before it enters your system.  In addition, the bibliographic records are put through RDA conversion – ensuring the records are RDA compliant – which expands the search facets and improves discovery.

LS2 Cataloging also includes draft-state editing – giving catalogers the flexibility to follow several possible workflows that allow for research or teamwork for some titles instead of the single title search-edit-save/publish workflow.
