Brevard County Public Libraries Extends CARL•Solution Contract
Brevard County Public Libraries extends CARL•SOLUTION contract
TLC is pleased to announce that the Brevard County Public Libraries in Florida have renewed their CARL•Solution contract for an additional five years. Brevard County implemented CARL•Solution in 2008 and will continue their partnership with TLC by transitioning to CARL’s Software as a Service (SaaS) solution in order to take advantage of the fully hosted service model that TLC provides.
Situated along Florida’s Space Coast, Brevard County’s 17 libraries circulate close to 4 million items a year to nearly 400,000 patrons, proving that CARL’s strong focus on the staff and patron experience continues to provide the perfect fit. The library system chose to renew withCARL because of TLC’s innovation and vision that is demonstrated with their line of web-based, platform independent solutions such as CARL•Connect and LS2 PAC. These products support the Brevard County Public Libraries mission to enable “people of all ages to improve their quality of life by providing information and enrichment through traditional resources and new technology.”
Over the course of 8 years, the Brevard County Public Libraries have worked closely with TLC to provide next generation solutions that showcase the library system’s strengths and accommodate the rapidly changing trends of the industry. Paul Leppert, Vice President and Managing Director of TLC’s Denver Operations, is proud of this tradition and of TLC’s partnership with Brevard County. “Brevard County Public Libraries have been a successful collaborator with TLC for many years, and their upcoming move to SaaS will be no exception.” Leppert shared, “We are thrilled that they are embracing the freedom and efficiency of our hosted system and we look forward to working together for many years to come.”
TLC has operated continuously and under the same ownership since 1974, providing premier automation and cataloging services to more than 4,500 public, school, academic, and special libraries worldwide. The company is based in Inwood, W.Va., and has additional offices in Denver, Singapore, and Ontario, Canada.
